If you live in the Pacific Northwest, you know the drill. January is for hunkering down, watching the rain hit the window, and planning for the moment the clouds break. Whether you keep your boat on Lake Union, cruise the San Juans in July, or fish the Sound year-round, the season really starts right now.
The Seattle Boat Show, the West Coast’s largest boat show, returns to Lumen Field Event Center from Friday, January 30 to Saturday, February 7, 2026. It is nine days of nautical immersion, and this year, POP Board Co. and Rover Marine are bringing a solution-focused lineup to Booth North 141.
We aren't just selling "summer toys." We are solving the specific logistical headaches that come with boating in the Salish Sea.
The PNW Problem: Rugged Waters & Limited Space
Boating here isn't like boating in Florida. We deal with 12-foot tides, rocky barnacle-covered beaches, and cold water. You need gear that is tough, versatile, and doesn't clutter up your deck when you're crossing the Strait of Juan de Fuca.
At Booth North 141, we are showcasing two product lines that are practically built for the Northwest lifestyle.

1. The "San Juan Solution": Rover Marine Tenders
If you are a cruiser or a trawler owner, the "dinghy dilemma" is real. Towing a hard fiberglass tender through Deception Pass slows you down and burns fuel. Davits are expensive and heavy. But you need a reliable way to get to shore for groceries or to explore the state parks.
The Solution: The Rover Battle Boat
We are displaying the Rover Battle Boat, and it is quickly becoming the tender of choice for PNW captains. Here is why:
- Portability: It rolls up into a bag. You can store it in a lazarette or strapped to the bow, keeping your swim step clear and your drag to zero.
- Durability: Made with military-grade drop-stitch PVC, it is incredibly rigid. It can handle landings on rocky, shell-covered beaches that would puncture cheaper inflatables.
- Silent Running: Pair it with a Rover Electric Motor for silent, zero-emission exploring in sensitive eco-areas.

2. The "Lake Washington Party" Upgrade: POP Up Docks
When the sun finally hits Seattle, everyone heads to Andrews Bay or the log boom. But even a decent-sized cruiser feels small when you have 10 friends onboard. You need more real estate.
The Solution: The POP Up Dock
Our POP Up Docks connect to your boat to instantly add 50% more square footage. This isn't just a raft; it's a rigid extension of your deck.
- The "Mud Room": In the PNW, it’s a great place to strip off wet wetsuits or sandy gear before entering the warm cabin.
- Maintenance Platform: Use it as a stable work float to scrub the hull or check the prop without hauling out.
- Guest Space: It’s the perfect spot to set up chairs and coolers when you’re anchored out for Seafair.
Spotlight: The El Capitan for the Northwest Fisherman
Don't miss the 11'6" El Capitan Bomber. In Seattle, paddleboarding isn't just for yoga; it's for exploring.
With a 450lb weight capacity and 36-inch width, this board is stable enough to fish for salmon, haul crab pots, or carry a heavy cooler. It’s a "dry ride" board, sitting high on the water, which keeps you warmer when the water temp is hovering in the 50s.
